Satsang Weekend in Beamsley, Yorkshire
Retreat for October 2022 is postponed
Unfortunately the planned retreat is cancelled for Covid related reasons. Please keep an eye open for the announcement of a future date.
The idea that all the Sangat, no matter where they live, could get together to meditate and have a Satsang weekend was put forward at a meeting of the Trust, Sant Bani (UK), some years ago and since then, with Master's support and direct blessing, it has continued.
Normally there is accommodation for thirty people, a hall for meditation, a very good kitchen, dining room, indoor and outdoor play area for children and car parking. The meditation hall will always be available for meditation. All bedding is provided but you will need to bring a towel. We will have exclusive use of all the facilities.
It is often cool outdoors in the North in October so you will need some warm clothing and strong shoes for walks. The Trust normally pays for the accommodation, so it is free to all the Sangat however any Satsangi wishing to make a donation towards the cost of accommodation can do so in the usual way. There will be other opportunities to do Seva for those who wish to.

Because people arrive at different times the timetable is flexible. There are beautiful peaceful walks down by the river not far from Beamsley. The meditation hall together with DVD’s is available at all times.
- Friday 2.00 Arrivals begin
- Saturday first meditation of the day 3 am
- Sunday first meditation of the day 3 am Retreat finishes formally at 12 noon.
Finance
Accommodation is paid in advance by the trust. You may make a contribution if you wish. Travel costs are in your own hands.
How to register
Please register by contacting Christine Gibson as soon as possible. It is not possible for people to turn up at the last minute because accommodation is limited.
Travelling by road
Here’s a link to the location on google maps. Though it is called The Beamsley Centre it is outside the village.
Travelling from London by Mini Bus
Please contact Howard Chung Yap if you wish to have a lift from, and back to, London.
Travelling from London by train
The service from Kings Cross to Ilkley via Leeds is recommended. Prices are reduced when you book ahead. You can be collected from Ilkley station or come by taxi.
